General Description. The DAC1020 and the DAC1220 are, respectively, 10 and 12-bit binary multiplying digital-to-analog converters. A de- posited thin film R-2R resistor ladder divides the reference current and provides the circuit with excellent temperature tracking characteristics (0.0002%/§C linearity error temper- ature coefficient maximum).
The DAC10 is a multiplying D/A converter in which the output current is the product of a digital number and the input refer-ence current. The reference current may be fixed or may vary from nearly zero to 2 mA. The full-scale output current is a linear function of the reference current and is given by: 1023.
