Jan 29, 2014 · Review: Peavey 6534 Plus. Today in the cleansing fires of review judgement we have Peavey’s new 6534 Plus head. In a nutshell it’s a 6505 (aka the renamed 5150 after Eddie moved to Fender) but with EL34 tubes.
Overview. The 6505 series is the heir to the popular Peavey 5150 series. The 6505 was named after the fortieth anniversary of Peavey from 1965 to 2005. The 6534+ is identical to the 6505+ but uses EL34 power tubes instead of 6L6s.
